His reputation grew within the football circle leading to his appointment as the Head Coach of the Kano Pillars feeder team where he worked with young players in developing his philosophy of the game. An ideology based on constant passing and ball possession.
The Makaiba football ideology has been tested, has proven and is here to stay. His joy is seeing generations of players and coaches adopt this philosophy to score goals and win games, and still entertain the genuine affecionados of the most popular sport.
